Phases of Womanhood began with a midwife and an occupational therapist asking the same question from two very different perspectives:

Why are women expected to navigate so much of their health without the education, support, and guidance they deserve?

After years of working side-by-side, learning from one another, and caring for women through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond, we knew there had to be a better way. Women deserve more. More education. More understanding. More collaboration. And more support for the transitions that can profoundly change our bodies, our roles, and our lives.

Phases of Womanhood was crafted to do just that. To be more!

Two professions.

One shared vision.

Our Story

What started as collaboration became something much bigger.

Lori and Hayley first began working together in 2017, when Hayley joined Lori’s out-of-hospital birth practice as a doula. Years later, Hayley opened her maternal and infant occupational therapy practice within the birth center.

Working side-by-side gave them something that isn't always possible within traditional healthcare settings: the opportunity to learn continuously from another discipline.

Lori brought a deep understanding of physiological pregnancy and birth, midwifery, and the innate capabilities of the female body.

Hayley brought a perspective focused on function, movement, pelvic health, infant development, and the transition to motherhood through the lens of occupational therapy.

The more they worked together, the more connected these perspectives became.

And the more women they cared for, the more clearly they saw the gaps.

Women weren't lacking motivation to understand their bodies.

They were lacking access to the information in the first place.

Phases of Womanhood grew from our shared belief:

Women deserve more.

Different Lenses.

Together, we see the woman - not just the appointment.

A More Complete Picture!

Women deserve more

from women’s healthcare!

Our Mission

To redefine women’s healthcare through comprehensive, collaborative, evidence-informed education and support - giving women the knowledge and confidence to navigate every phase of womanhood.

We believe education is an essential part of healthcare.

The Future We’re Working Toward

Revolutionize Your Knowledge, Empower Yourself

Knowledge instead of fear.

Options instead of assumptions.

Support instead of silence.

One where you don't enter pregnancy wondering what is happening to your body. Where birth preparation goes beyond creating a birth plan. Where postpartum recovery is something you're prepared for—not something you're expected to simply figure out. Where pelvic health is discussed before symptoms appear. Where changes in sexual health aren't dismissed. Where perimenopause doesn't arrive as a complete surprise. Where menopause isn't treated as the end of the conversation.

A future where fewer women have to ask:

"Why didn't anyone tell me this?"

Because someone did.

And she was prepared!

The Team

Lori and Hayley’s biggest goal with the care they provide is to listen, hold space, and help you to feel empowered in your pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause journey, or into menopause. Because of the close nature in which Lori and Hayley work they have developed an incredibly symbiotic and supportive understanding of women’s health across the lifespan. Through their 1:1 work and the courses they teach they strive to help you feel like the true expert over your body!

They can’t wait to be a resource for you!
